Dr. Amy Black, ACNP-BC, DCNP
For more than two decades, Amy Black has dedicated herself to finding, honing, and sharing proven practices for deep health. Amy is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who has over 14 years' experience in the field of dermatology. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia (Biology/French Language and Literature) and her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2002. Amy was a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society and received scholarships for academic achievement. In 2010, she became one of the first Nurse Practitioners to pass the Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner exam through the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Association. Seeking a more holistic approach to illness, she studied with the Institute for Functional Medicine, where she was certified in 2018.
Amy values listening to her patients and believes that they have a lot of insight into their own health. She is a patient advocate and does her best to provide the best dermatological care possible.
Amy spends her free time gardening, mountain biking and cooking. She lives with her husband, son, and poodle in Richmond.
